This buckeye marquetry (the cutting and fitting of thin veneers) keepsake box could be the perfect gift for the Ohio State Buckeye fan who has everything. The marquetry woods in the top of the box are Honduran mahagany, figured laurel, and curly maple. The buckeyes are framed by highlights of purpleheart (scarlet) and steamed white oak (gray). The box itself is made from African mahogany. The dovetails are handcut.
